Hey, i'm Aussie, I am not neccessarily Athiest as there is just as much chance for there to be a god then there not to be one but I am against all religions as they are slowing down societies productivity and are highly unlikely to be true.

I love questioning peoples opinions especially opinions that 'proove' something 'true' with illogical beliefs.
I also love talking about the stupidity of the American race though I understand most the people who are logical enough to be on a forum like this and that are American are not stupid and actually know a country that starts with the letter 'U'Grin

Hey welcome.

There is not an equal chance of there being a god or not being a god, I think it's been split somewhere around 99.9999999 for no god and .000000001 for god, scientifically anyhoo.

Of course if you're a neurotic combination of hopeful and fearful, there's no chance that there is not a god.

Actually there is equal chance for everything it is just where you draw the line is where you can start using facts to make something more/less likely.  You cannot proove something wrong if it does not exist because it might exist and the chances of it existing are no higher or lesser then that of it being non-existant.

If scientists find the universe has infinate space then god cannot exist as it is impossible in our universe to create/destroy atoms, we can modify them but never create them.  If there is finate space then it is a 50/50 split as there is nothing prooving that he cannot exist.

I don't mean Christian god or anything I mean a higher power, any higher power.  I believe if god is perfect he is nothing as nothing is the only thing our minds cannot organize, for us to organize something into right and wrong it must be something, all our beliefs are different, no one man can think exactly the same as another, when you may think a murderer is a bad man, the murderer himself may think he is a good man, you think he did wrong, he believes he did right.  Our living concious creates perfection, not some higher power, if you say god is perfect but he also told everyone what perfection was then he is controlling them, most freewill is gone and humankind is less animal and more robot.

Actually there is equal chance for everything...

Sorry guy, that statement is inconsistent with reality. Let's take your statement to the absurd for happy-fun-time!

Is it just as likely that you have a winged polar bear who floats behind you, and can't be reflected in a mirror or captured on tape, and further that every human being on the planet is in a conspiracy to not tell you about the polar bear, as not? No, that scenario is neither provable nor unprovable. However, when you start adding bits and pieces of realistic thoughts, you might say to yourself, "Well, a polar bear would be too heavy to fly, unless it's wings were enormous, and in that case I'd PROBABLY catch a glimpse of them on occasion. And, I guess no one would really have anything to gain by keeping this flying polar bear secret from me, so there PROBABLY is not a conspiracy of the sort. Also, I can put my back to a wall to eliminate any flying polar bears who CAN'T pass through walls.

These logical kind of arguments are what makes it much more PROBABLE that there is not a god in existence. For example:

"If god truly loved me, he would give me sufficient reason to believe in him so that I could know him, and love him, and give him glory, since all he seems to want is our love and praise. But, since I haven't the sufficient reason, I've found no such evidence, prayers are scientifically shown not to be answered or fulfilled, a perfect book would not have inconsistencies, and on and on.

Like I alluded to in my first post, the only reason to think the chances are even is personal fear of accepting a single life with no afterlife and no giant ghost looking after it.

So your saying one god is mroe likely to be true then all the others?  Only one religion can be right, that's not what most Thiests think, they simply think it's Religion vs Athiesm.

It's actually Christianity vs Jewdism vs Muslim vs Islam vs Buddism vs Manderin vs Daoism and so on.

Athiesm is not a religion and is more like the saving us from religion.
