Richard Dawkins is my hero. o_o

I believe in teapots, unicorns, and fairies. God's a bunch of bullshit though. Only through the abolishment of religion can we ever hope to be free.

LONG LIVE THE TEAPOT! Awesome video.
12:12 AM 09th Mar
1- Richard Dawkins is English and therefore drinks tea.
12:12 AM 09th Mar
2- Richard Dawkins CLEARLY has an invisable pink horn atop his head. I mean just look at it! You can't miss it!
12:13 AM 09th Mar
3- Richard Dawkins wears clothes; no doubt to conceal his noodly appendages.
12:13 AM 09th Mar
Ergo Richard Dawkins is God.
01:34 PM 10th Mar
Good job! Excellent. Everyone should see this.
01:20 AM 15th Mar
I am showing this to everyone I know who has a larger attention span larger than 5 minutes for something intellectual.

those who wish to abolish religion miss the point entirely - religion arose out of the need to explain things in an environment where science was unavailable - but what perpetuates it is the existence of class society. it serves as both an expression of the real suffering that occurs under class society and a justification for the continuation of the very same class society. if you want to get rid of religion you can't do it by abolishing religion by decree - you must eliminate the social, political, and economic alienation that drives people towards the comfort of religion.
11:48 PM 28th Mar
That probably explains why the religious right is so determinedly perpetuating social, political, and economic turmoil.

If you only watch this you might think it sounds reasonable. If you have an open mind you should check out scienceprovesit.com and keep researching. By the way, TRUE Christians do not participate in politics or war. Jesus said to love our enemies. Killing enemies is not loving. Rep's and Dem's are two sides of the same coin. If you support either, you are a part of the same killing machine.

@G'la:

That website is completely, mind me, bs.

First off: If there were any real evidence for a God or higher power of any kind, WE WOULD KNOW ABOUT IT. No doubt, we would. These fundamentalists are blowing up abortion clinics because of a 2,000 yr old book... So trust me they would get the word out of that proof.

Second, if the only source of information of evolution is that highly biased website... Trying to disprove evolution by saying "A frog has never turned into a human!"... People have also never lived millions of years, so that is NOT a valid argument.

Evolution does not explain WHY we are here, it explains the diversity of life on this planet.

TRUE Christians follow the bible literally, and that DOES mean provocing violence if you follow the bible word for word.

Being a Rep or Dem DOES NOT make you a "killing machine".

Please join us on the forums with this, because I feel strained here.

Can he prove that a God like creature, displaying god like qualities (such as the ability to create matter and all that other stuff) definitely does not exist in the universe?

What if someone, say a scientist, one day found god literally? For example, last week a whole bunch of new sea life was found in the arctic sea so isn?t it possible that one day god might be found in some unexpected place.
12:44 AM 20th May
Proving a negative statement (i.e. God definitely does not exist) is impossible. For anyone.

It seems to me the real debate is not about whether god exists or not - but rather the dangers of organised faith. But saying that - I would be extremely surprised if an omniscient - omnipotent old sadist turrned up in some out of the way corner of the universe...
09:52 PM 27th May
INTELLECTUAL ARROGANCE! BAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Pastor Haggert reeks of Falwell-ism.

Guest No: Proving a negative statement is not impossible. The earth is not square, this is common knowledge (at least I hope it is!). Your statement is the most commonly (mis)placed statement by theists and absolute skeptics alike, and makes no sense in religion or science, again, alike...

Check out 2.40. So that's his book title came from.

Vir, go do some research on negative proofs. Sky's argument is a commonly deployed logical fallacy. Here's some help to get you started.

G'la-
it s impossible for science to prove a non falsifiable claim (i.e. god exists) thus that website's claims cannot be based on anything scientific.

And, if you read the bible, you see true christians indeed can (and often are ordered to) get away with murder.
